True fact: I love beanies!
They come in so many different styles that the options are endless. I mean, how cute is this one and this one? They also keep you incredibly warm, like they did on this chilly day in Flagstaff! I also think everyone should do themselves a favor and get themselves a pair of Zella leggings. I could seriously wear them all day everyday… they are that comfy! They’re multi-purupse, you can wear them as leggings for your daily yoga sweat sesh or pair them with an oversize sweater like I wore here!
On her: Sweater: Wildfox (love this) | Skinnies: Topshop | Boots: Sam Edelman | Hat: David & Young | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Bag: Street Level (love this) | Necklace: Kate Spade | Rings: Ariella Collection (similar), Gifted | Lips: Smashbox (similar) | Nails: OPI “Solitaire”
On him: Shirt: Threads For Thought | Track Pants: Charles and Half | Combat Boots: The Rail
I pretty much can’t resist a good Wildfox, and this sweater was no different! They always make sure to add something unique or special to their apparel to make them stand out, which is why I adore them so. This sweater was perfect for this chilly Flagstaff weather, and these skinny pants from the Moto line of Topshop are basically my obsession now. I have them in burgundy, white, and am eyeing a pair on sale at Nordstrom right now!
P.S. That is my handsome husband, Todd, making a brief appearance in this post! I was digging his outfit so I had to snap a few pictures but he is slightly embarrassed I’m posting them for the whole world to see! But I figure it’s alright to show off what you are proud of every now and then! 😉

Isn’t this outfit perfect for a desert mermaid? With cactus and desert scene on my top and the “100% Mermaid” saying on my beanie. We took these pictures up in Flagstaff a few weeks ago with my family and I’m just getting around to posting them now. It was so dang cold up there so I was channeling a bright, summery look with this outfit! I wore a jacket over top to the North Pole Experience with my nieces and nephews and rest of my family earlier that morning but it warmed up a little bit later that day! Even though I am a summer girl at heart, I can’t deny the beauty that is snow. My husband loves the snow, it’s his middle name. Literally. He’s obsessed with the cold and is an avid snowboarder. He tries to go as often as he can so it makes me wish I enjoyed snowboarding or skiing but unfortunately I wasn’t blessed in the athletic department. The two times I did go snowboarding, I was on my behind quite often. So for now, frolicking and playing in the snow will have to do. 🙂

Happy 2015 to all of our readers! We hope you enjoyed ringing in the New Year with your nearest and dearest just like we did! We are so excited to see what 2015 has in store for us and our blog and can’t wait for all of the fun adventures along the way. Plus, what better way to celebrate the New Year than with a pair of bold red pants and a gorgeous fur vest, I love this one and this one! As I was posting these pictures, I noticed I was putting off a retro vibe with my hair and my high neck collar which I really dig. I definitely think I will be sporting looks similar to this all throughout 2015. Because even though 2015 is the future, I will still look to the past for outfit inspiration!
