Happy Valentine’s Day lovers and Happy Birthday Arizona, you beautiful thing you! And to all the lonely hearts out there, Happy Single Awareness Day! Now that we have all the holidays covered…
I finally got to show off my yorkie, Lola in this post! We got her in July 2013, and she is the sweetest little puppy doll ever! I thought she should make her debut in this post, since she is the love of my life (besides my hubby of course and my first born pup, Sirus!)
I decided to go with light pink, nude and silver with crystals and thought it would be appropriate to wear my Valentino’s on Valentine’s Day! You can’t really tell in the photo, but I’m sporting Protect Your Pumps on the bottom of the soles! The only complaint I have is that I didn’t get them sooner because as you can tell, they are already worn. But sticking these on prevent the soles from being damaged further! We’re going to be doing a giveaway soon for one of our lucky readers to win a 10-pack of Protect Your Pumps (that’s 5 pairs of shoes!)
I have always LOVED this day of love day! Not only is it the most romantic holiday, but it has the cutest colors too: Red, pink and white! I’ve always been the type of girl that wears her heart on her sleeve. People usually know how I feel because I can’t hide my feelings for very long! I remember making Valentine’s Day mail boxes in elementary school and being so eager to pass out my Hello Kitty-themed Valentine’s Day cards (I know, not much has changed! ;)) to my crush! I was always bummed when I compared cards with the other girls and realized their cards to me were the same as everyone else’s. Didn’t they realize by putting a heart over the “i” I was hinting that I liked them? Ugh.
I think we can all agree that while conversational hearts are hands-down the cutest and most clever candy, they are were probably the worst tasting. Literal chalk. Maybe they’ve changed over the years… I should probably give them another chance before I knock them. Speaking of giving food a second chance, did you guys know General Mills is making French Toast Crunch again? Major throw back to the 90s! I succumbed to its temptation at the grocery store the other day, and I have to admit, I’m slightly disappointed! They aren’t as good as I remember! It’s probably for the best anyway, those things are loaded with sugar… and I already eat Cap’n Crunch so that would be just be over-doing it.

I purchased this Wildfox Barbie Dreamhouse Collection top a few months ago along with the other top I wore in this post and I am equally enamored with it. It is the same material, and just as comfortable! I am a huge fan of graphic tees because they take two seconds to throw on yet they somehow look fabulous with everything! I especially enjoy making a statement with a graphic tee, whether it is silly or meaningful. This one is obviously silly, and pays homage to pop icon of the 80s, Madonna. But I am not a “material girl living in a material world,” that I assure you! I work hard for everything I have. If I ever wanted nice things, or any thing for that matter, I had to work hard and save up and STILL wait for them to go on sale! 🙂 That was part of growing up in a large family, and also part of how my parents chose to raise us. But I am glad they did, because I not only learned the importance of hard work, but how to manage my money. I know when people look at me, they make certain assumptions about my lifestyle. Oh if only they knew how wrong they were!
Side note: I recently purchased a new camera and lens and am so happy with the outcome! The pictures are a higher quality, and so much more clear! It’s like night and day.

Can I just say that I LOVE the look of denim on denim? I really hope it stays around for a while! I think it’s all the more chic if you add another pop of color to it. Plus, basically everything goes together with denim. I just about died when I spotted this jacket! It’s the perfect shade of pastel pink and so warm! I am obsessed with anything Ted Baker, so this baby was a win/win for me! What do you guys think about this denim on denim outfit?

Anytime I spot someone sporting all white, I instantly wonder why I don’t wear it every single day. Well, first of all that’s not practical, especially for someone like me who tends to spill their food on their outfits. Which is probably why it’s still so dang cool. Nothing makes my heart flutter the way an all white ensemble does! Actually, that’s a lie. Did you see Katy Perry’s performance during the Super Bowl halftime last night? She came out on a LION! I knew she was going to bring it, she always does, but she BLEW. ME. AWAY! Especially her last number, which was almost like a mix of “Firework” meets “When You Wish Upon A Star.” I felt like she was singing me a lullaby yet also I was ready to go to war. I don’t know how that’s possible, but the only explanation I have is that she’s magical. I’m just going to come out and say it. That ending was better than Disneyland’s. And I could have done without Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot. What was your favorite part of the Super Bowl? But please don’t even bring up the commercials, that’s a sore subject right now.
