First and foremost, I’d like to give a moment of silence for the color red… It is a color can stand alone and has stood the test of time as one that evokes energy, passion and action. And you are bound to get a few second looks when you wear it! Red is sexy, there’s no denying it. Old Holywood stars knew it and used it to their advantage. Simply put, it’s a true classic right there with black and white. And those colors together are effortless combos! Bonus: this LBD is so comfortable, you could wear it all day!

A jean jacket has that something that I can’t quite pinpoint. But one thing I do know is that it is of those pieces you can literally wear with almost anything, while making your outfit effortlessly cool. This outfit today is all about comfort for me, from the slouchy beanie to the Nike kicks. I love outfits I can wear all day long without wanting to immediately change into sweats and a t-shirt when I get home. What are your go-to outfits?

I wore this outfit on a date night out to dinner and a movie with my husband, and as I was walking to my theatre, this man and woman sitting down on a bench waiting for their movie stopped me and said, “Excuse me, but we saw you walking by and are in love with your outfit! Are you a model? Where are you from? New York? Miami? Los Angeles?” I was flattered of course and said thank you but had to laugh when I answered, “No, I’m from Arizona, born and raised!” They looked at each other, and exchanged a puzzled glance, as if in disbelief. “Okay, there is no way that you came up with that outfit idea in Arizona,” the woman started. I laughed again and told them I have a fashion blog and read other fashion blogs for inspiration. They simultaneously said, “Ahhh,” and nodded in understanding.
That experience got me thinking. I know my style is different and a little out there sometimes, but apparently I look out like a fish (mermaid!) out of water here in Arizona. I always thought Arizonans were up on all the trends, and weren’t far behind big fashion meccas like LA and NY, but apparently I’m mistaken! Is there a stigma for the way people dress in your city/town?
P.S. Did you see my Instagram post with my adorable yorkie pup, Lola? She stole the show! Add me on Snapchat to see more of her, and random snaps of me jamming out in my car… (username: jpsearle)

My outfit today is super comfortable & casual. It has been a chilly week here in Arizona (thanks East Coasters for sending an extra week of winter our way) so busted out the comfiest henley ever (JAMES PERSE=COMFORT GOD) a gorgeous blush-colored leather jacket, ripped skinnies and python printed booties to break up all the solid colors!
I’m so dang excited because as of this very moment, it’s SPRING BREAK! It’s blows my mind to think that I’m already half-way done with my last semester in college. I am beyond ready to have a degree in my hand and to start a new chapter in my life. The day that pop quizzes, midterms and finals are a thing of the past will be oh so deliciously sweet. Well, I’m going to keep it short today because my brain is fried from studying all night and taking finals all week. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

I’m a sucker for a good statement heel, and these babies had me at hello. Unfortunately, I’ve let them collect dust in my closet for two lonely months. Just sitting there. Looking all pretty. Too perfect to ruin. Then, like fate would have it, I received a package from Protect Your Pumps, and instantly knew which pumps these needed to save. They are a non-slip, transparent adhesive that is used to protect the soles of high-heel shoes or flats. They can easily be taken off after several uses, and the result is like they are new. My sister also did a review on them here.
Justine and I both love Protect Your Pumps so much that we wanted to give our readers a chance to win a FREE 10 pack ($70 value!) all to themselves! (That’s five pairs of heels you could save from self-destruction!) All you have to do is follow our Instagram, like our Facebook and subscribe to our blog and do the same for Protect Your Pumps! You have one week to enter; may the odds be ever in your favor! 😉
