I love floral prints. They are so girly and sophisticated looking! This one by Ted Baker reminds me of a 50’s housewife, which I find to be super classy and feminine. I love this fit and flare style, plus it includes a petite bow belt to accentuate the waist. It really is the epitome of a spring/summer dress! Since it is still officially fall for exactly three more days, and it still feels like summer in Arizona with 90 degree temperatures, this dress is totally appropriate!
These royal blue Rachel Roy pumps weigh down the bright print a little too, so I think pairing them with a darker blue instead of another pastel or nude helps make the transition from the tail end of summer to the beginning of fall a bit smoother if you’re worried about it. But honestly, I don’t really even think about rules like, “No White After Labor Day” or “Only Florals in the Spring.” I just wear whatever I’m in the mood for and what the weather permits. I’m a firm believer than you can make anything work with the right accessories! After all, that is usually the deciding factor in “Who Wore It Best.” 😉
I played off of the rose gold accent on the belt and added my own to tie it all together and stuck with minimal make up to keep it fresh!
I have to profess my love for this nail polish too. It is the perfect light lavender milky purple. I like to say it’s the purple version of Mod About You by OPI, which is my favorite pink laquer! I think it matched perfectly with my Viva Glam Nicki 2 lipstick and lipglass as well. Nothing makes me happier than matching lipstick to nail polish, à la Betty Draper in Mad Men.
