Wondering about my title? Well, I’ve been listening to the new Marina and the Diamonds album on repeat since Spring Break, and this is a line in one of my favorite songs, “Froot!” If you haven’t heard of her, I first must ask: Have you been hiding under a rock? Do yourself a favor and give her a listen NOW and come to the light! Every time I play this album I am immediately transported back to the beach. It’s incredible the way your five senses can trigger such strong memories!
I’m a crochet fiend and this one-piece by the BECCA by Rebecca Virtue line fits right in with my growing collection. The stretchy nylon and spandex combination make this one really comfortable and not as restricting as some I have tried on. This kimono works as a swimsuit cover-up, but I think it would look so cute over a dress or with a tank and distressed jeans too! Speaking of jeans, I’m obsessed with these jean shorts by J Brand. They are hands-down my favorite brand of denim. I know, I know, that’s a bold statement! But I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s like they were MADE for my body. When you find something that fits tailor-made, you don’t question it. Also, my LABella Bag made an appearance yet again! It is basically an extension of my arm at this point, and I’m not mad about it. What’s really cool is that these unique handmade bags are from Guatemala and made of huipils, which are Mayan blouses. And it can take the Mayan people weeks to create just one huipil! I love when things have a story behind them, it gives it that sentimental value and makes it that much more special! 🙂
Jacket: Haute Hippie (love this & this) | Tank: Joie | Jeans: Genetic Denim | Shoes: Sam Edelman (different color) | Purse: Street Level | Necklaces: Kate Spade ( love this), House of Harlow | Rings: Gorjana (here & here) Stella & Dot , BaubleBar | Lippie: M.A.C. “Whirl” with “Viva Glam 2″ & “Fleshpot” | Nails: China Glaze “More To Explore”
5 reasons why I’m happy:
1. I have unconditional love from my Savior, he is definitley a #1 in my life without a doubt. 🙂
2. Being with family, I have quite a large one and it may not always be easy, but it is so worth it. With family there is always love, even in time of disagreement. I think these quotes say it the best:
“Family is the most important thing in the world.” – Princess Diana
“What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family.” – Mother Teresa
3. Setting goals and attaining them! The goal I have set most recently is buying a home and it is a thrill to know that I am on my way to reaching it. It makes all my hard work pay off. I love that feeling!
4. Getting packages in the mail. I can’t even describe the feeling when I get a package in the mail, that is why I love online shopping! 🙂
5. Having a few days off work! The thought that I get to sleep in for a few more hours makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Tunic: Becca by Rebecca Virtue (℅) | Swimmie: Bikini Lab (love this & this) | Sandals: Zigi Girl (love these & these) | Fedora: Forever 21 (similar & on sale!) | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Tote: LABella Bags (OBSESSED!) | Earrings: Nordstrom (similar) | Body Chain: Forever 21 (love this, this & this) | Lippie: Nars “Heat Wave” | Nails: OPI Cajun Shrimp (BEST COMBO!)
One of my favorite things about going to the beach is accessorizing! I collect beach cover-ups and sunglasses like they’re going out of style. But hopefully they don’t because I want to wear them forever and ever until they’re rags. This tunic by the Becca line from Rebecca Virtue is no different! Another great thing about beach cover-ups is how easily they can transition from over-your-swimsuit to out-to-dinner! I love that this tunic could double as a cute, flirty dress with fun, strappy hurache sandals!
By the way, I am so obsessed with this lip & nail color combo! Bright colors on your lips and nails are a must on tropical vacations! Both of these colors are more of a red than orange, almost like a coral, perfect for the beach!
Top: Recycled Karma (LOVE this!) | Pants: Gemini Gypsies Boutique (c/o) | Birkenstocks | Bag: LABela Bags (c/o) | Sunnies: Ray-Ban | Necklace: Margaret Elizabeth via Rocksbox (c/o) | Earrings: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Rings: CC Syke via Rocksbox (c/o) | Bracelets: Alex & Ani (here, here & similar here), Michael Kors (similar), Vince Camuto, Tasha, About Pretty Things via Etsy | Lippie: Nars “Heat Wave” | Nails: OPI “Cajun Shrimp” (DYING OVER THIS NAIL & LIP COMBO!)
First, I need to talk about this bag. I’ve been wanting one of these type of bags for a long, long time but never found one that I liked enough to spend the money! Then I found LABela Bags on Etsy and my heart was all a flutter. It was love, and perfect for a beach vacation! I’m drawn to bright, colorful things, and like to pack them on vacations, so I brought this bag everywhere with me and it seriously fits your whole life in there. Next, these bell bottoms from Gemini Gypsies Boutique are literal perfection. My mind can not comprehend the comfortability these pants contain. The flowy material feels like a dream and calls to my hippie boho side. Yes, this is the same “Célfie” top Krystal wore in the previous post. So heed my fair warning, because it’s probably going to happen again in the near future. Last but not last, THESE BIRKS! I’ve been drooling over them for far too long and apparently I wasn’t the only one because they were selling like hotcakes at Nordstrom, they never had them in stock in my size! So when I spotted them on JCrew.com, my fingers couldn’t click “add to bag” fast enough. White and gold together are the meant for each other in my book. They look so rich and classy, like Daisy’s wardrobe in the Great Gatsby!
For Spring Break my husband and I went to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico (Rocky Point) and stayed at the most beautiful resort, Bella Sirena, which means beautiful mermaid in Spanish. Fitting, I know. I’m not going to lie, it probably is my favorite place in the world. I haven’t been everywhere in the world yet, so that may just be a figure of speech, but I’ve been to various beaches in Florida, California, Mexico and even the Bahamas and this still takes the cake. I’ve been going there since I was around 5 or 6, so the memories that I have made there is another big reason it holds a huge place in my heart. But it holds the biggest place in my stomach. I fill up on street tacos, Coca Light, mangos on the beach, piña coladas and burritos until I burst. Best. Comida. Ever! I’m currently hoarding homemade tortillas I bought by the dozen and brought back… Mexico, lo amo.
