If you’ve never heard of a “joutfit” before, then I’m sure you’ve seen one. (Hello Justin and Britney at the VMA’s!) Katy Perry and Riff Raff replicated their denim on denim ensemble 10 years later at this year’s VMA’s and I still can’t decide who wore it best. I’m not trying to upstage them or anything… 😉 but I think my jean duo is much more wearable than either of theirs. Because let’s be real here, I’m not going to the VMA’s anytime soon and I’m definitely not in the pop star playing field. But that doesn’t stop me from having my own fun with it.

I said in this post how I had just bought a similar jogger/track pant! Well these are it and they are fabulous. They feel like jammies but look like you have your life together. I’m all about looking like you tried but you really didn’t. It’s like you have a secret no one else gets to know about. I feel the same way about top-knots too. But that’s another story for another day.

Also, my hair is a bit darker these days if you can’t tell by my pictures. I’m loving it for fall and winter plus I wanted to give my hair a break from being platinum blonde for over two years. It was time and I was sick of people telling me I resembled Elsa every day. Just kidding I loved it. Little girls would look at me (especially if my hair was in a braid, which it always is for school) and say, “Mommy, look! It’s Elsa!” That happened at least six times. I’ve even had grown adults say, “You know who you look like? Elsa from Frozen!” or “You should be Elsa for Halloween!” It was pretty fun actually… Except my hair was platinum blonde and I wore it in a side braid way before Frozen even came out so let’s get one thing straight. Elsa looks like me, I don’t look like her okay? Hey Disney, if you’re out there and you’re listening, when are you going to start paying me for the rights because you obviously modeled her after me! Or let me be the princess at your park. That should suffice. 😉 (That’s always been a dream of mine)

Pop of Red

It is kinda funny to think that us Arizonians are actually wearing jackets and sweaters in the desert! But it’s starting to get cold (for me) here so I am in my full winter gear, Hunters included. I think everyone should own a pair of these rain boots; they come in an array of fun colors and you don’t have to wear them solely on rainy days in my opinion. I love how this outfit came together, it reminds me of Christmas with the pops of red and green! Those two colors are so merry and bright it makes me happy. Another reason I love this outfit is because the combo of the two lipsticks, MAC’s “Ruby Woo” with the sparkle of Urban Decay is absolute heaven on your lips.

Dressy Burgundy

Dress: ASOS (similar & love this on sale!) | Pumps: Kate Spade (in suede on sale!) | Purse: Marc Jacobs | Necklace: J. Crew Factory | Watch: Michael Kors | Bangle: Michael Kors | Earrings: Marc Jacobs | Rings: Gifted | Sunglasses: Ray Ban | Lips: MAC “Brave” & Liner: Mac “Whirl” | Nails: OPI “Alpine Snow

Isn’t the fit of this dress out of this world? I find that most ASOS dresses are so flattering on my body type, but I have a feeling I’m not the only one because their stuff sells out so fast! I bought this dress mainly for the color because I didn’t have enough burgundy/oxblood in my closet at the time. The perfect length and those ruffles suckered me in though! I will definitely be checking out the ASOS website on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. They always have great deals!

You can never have too many black pumps in my opinion because no two are alike! Especially with endless options in patent, satin, suede, strappy, pointed, round toe, and open toe. I like pointed pumps best, though, because they make your legs look longer, especially when they are nude because it creates a more fluid line. It’s the same way that pointed nails make your fingers look slimmer and longer!

I topped the look off with a cream multi-strand pearl necklace from J. Crew Factory! I don’t wear pearls often, usually only for special occasions or when I want to look professional. They instantly take a dressy look up a notch and add a classy touch. I always say, pearls are timeless but diamonds are forever!

Sweater Weather

Sweater: Vince (want this) | Leggings: Lysse | Shoes: Frye | Purse: Kate Spade (love this) | Sunnies: Wildfox | Earrings: Nordstrom (love these) | Necklace: Kris Nations | Bracelet: Seasonal Whispers | Watch: Nixon (love this)

Today felt like sweater weather, so I pulled out this soft one from Vince and paired it with some comfortable leggings. I felt like I was on a cloud all day. I love days like these. I tend to wear my hair in simple braids for work because they are no fuss and out of the way, so when it comes to my days off I wear my hair down. Well not today, I wanted to spice up my usual braids and I think it turned out pretty cool.

Top: Equipment (on sale) | Blazer: Truth and Pride (love this) | Jeans: Joes Vintage (love these) | Shoes: Schutz (love these & these) | Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs | Sunglasses: Stella Mccartney | Bracelets: Kate Spade, Nadri | Necklace: Nadri (love this) | Lips: Mac Ruby Woo

Check this out! (pun intended) I have an undying love for anything check print and to see this one in my favorite brand, Equipment, nonetheless,  was a double win for me! The concept for this ensemble was based off of these pumps! These beauties were gathering dust in my closet and needed me to take them out and show them off so I built the rest of the outfit from there! I mean who doesn’t like a lace up sandal, they are super sexy right? Schutz does it right every time!
